The heart of Hammock Bay is its 18-hole championship golf course. With an emphasis on the boundless beauty of the area’s natural environment, the Hammock Bay golf course was designed to provide an enjoyable challenge to all golfers regardless of their level of play. Designed by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy, the par-72 course features Sea Dwarf Seashore Paspalum turf grass, which is widely known for its excellent year-round playing surface and environmentally friendly upkeep. Nestled among the surrounding beauty of McIlvane Bay and the Ten Thousand Islands, it’s no wonder the course was honored as one of the top 10 new private courses in the world when it opened in 2004 by Travel & Leisure Golf Magazine. Hammock Bay is also proud to be the fifth WCI Community to receive the Gold Sustainable Signature Community Designation from Audubon International©.
